General entry requirements: Admission to BSc (Hons) in Psychology via A/L, Foundation, or lateral entry routes. For entry into the first year (Level 4/Advance Diploma in Psychology): 3 Passes in G.C.E. A/L Examination & English. (Those who have obtained 2 passes for the in G.C.E. A/L Examination can complete the Certificate in Psychology to become eligible) It is mandatory that the candidate has obtained at least an ‘S' pass for Mathematics and English for GCE Ordinary Level Examination. OR Completion of Foundation in Psychology at NIBM. Those who have completed a Certificate course/ Advanced Certificate course in Psychology from a recognized institution. For entry into the second year (Level 5/BSc (Hons) in Psychology): For entry to the second year, applicants will need to complete the NIBM Advanced Diploma in Psychology. OR Lateral Entry: Completion of a first-year degree equivalent (Will be assessed by University of Essex panel) Applicants must be able to demonstrate an adequate proficiency in English and may be assessed during the induction phase of the course. For entry into the third year (Level 6/BSc (Hons) in Psychology): For entry to the second year, applicants will need to complete the level 5/BSC (Hons) in Psychology year.
